New hand pays at Harrah's AC

Gee, I guess you sure wouldn't like the machines up here in Canada--here

the

government-run places will lock up when a single hit of $150 happens...

Most of the "coin dropper" machines I play here in the Great State of
Nevada in the good 'ol USA (where I have no feeling of impending doom, by the
way) will require a handpay for any cashout over 1000 credits. In fact, the
only machines of that type I've run into that didn't act that way were the
old Pick 'Em machines at the Fremont that started spilling coins everytime
the payout of a hand would push you up over 1000 credits.

And speaking of the Fremont and a previous topic here recently, I have
staying there almost exclusively on the monthly room offers during all my trips
down there for the past couple of years. As mentioned. the rooms are a
little small, but you can't beat the convenience of being no more than a 4
minute walk from valet to your room and only being about a minute away from
the casino. And as a loyal Boyd customer, I have never had any trouble
conducting business through the free Wi-Fi over at MSS.

If old means terminally pessimistic then I'll wear my hat sideways. You expect me to believe that this period of our country is more trying to the citizens than the 1930's and then the 1940's? In spite of what of might watch on FAUX News, I'm fairly certain we'll be alright. Then again, my glass is half full. Sounds like you don't even have a glass.

To quote my kid; "It must suck to be you".......

"You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers."

"Any connections between your reality and mine is purely coincidental."

My glass is full, because it has to be full. What would the alternative be to losing our freedom and this wonderful country? The alternative is unthinkable, so my glass HAS to be full and I have to be optimistic. But I'm not stupid, Jigger. I know history, and what I see happening today is quite alarming. If you are not alarmed, then for whatever reason, whether it be youth, plain generic ignorance, or whatever, then you just don't know. What is it that makes you so "fairly certain we'll be alright"? A hunch? A gut feeling? rotflmao! It's a privilege to be in a country where you can afford to be blissfully ignorant of the past. Lucky you!
