You aren't way off base, and their treatment of their employee was certainly bad.

That being said, I think that it is well known throughout the Casino industry that you keep your mouth shut about the patrons.
This employee failed to do so, I sympathise greatly and don't like that kind of treatment from an employer, but I am not surprised in the least.

I know you're right about that A.P. Which made it all the more startling when the whole town seemed to be bashing these people. This is not exactly a place that is inhospitable to visitors. It takes a whole lot of grief to cause that kind of reaction. But this guy got singled out, it appears.
