Hot off the KLBC Television channel 2 just this morning. They report that
the new ownership
of the Colorado Belle and Edgewater will begin on April 1st.

That is quicker than I thought. I can't remember any story about Tony
Marnell III being approved by the Gaming Commission.

The question is should we still play or back-off? Will the slot club change
right away? Will CB/EW still act separately or will promos/offers be merged?

Will Hamstockman keep his high roller Silver Card status at CB? Will I ever
get any kind of comped offer again from CB or EW? Will I ever get to bum a
meal again from Hamstockman?

**************************************
AOL now

The Race and Sports Book Manager told me a few days ago that the new ownership would take over officially on April 1st. He said that the *current plan* was to immediately remove all of the older slot and video poker machines from both properties and replace them with ticket in / ticket out machines.

And for you horse and sports bettors, he told me that Leroys was probably going to be taking over the Race and Sports Book.

I sure don't like the sound of "immediately remove all the older slot
and video poker machines". While both properties have many TITO
machines, the FPDW, DDJ and others are sure to be the first removed.
I also listened over on the morning show (channel 2) today, and right
after Gary Sheler did his usual Hillary Clinton and Democrat bashing,
he did mention the April 1st changeover. I guess they fast tracked
the sale, as MGM/Mirage mentioned that it would be summer before the
deal would be completed.

Mr. "T"- don't worry, silver card or not, I will buy you a hot dog
and a bag of chips (your choice) at the CB snack bar. Enjoy.

Gawd I get so sick and tired of the Hillary Clinton and Democrat bashing that goes on at
that station. It almost makes me wish the station was up for sale so I could buy the
friggen thing just to get their biased politics off the airwaves.

Anyway I'm going down there for my semi-annual visit April 18th so it'll be interesting to
see if anything new crops up at those two properties. Anybody else going then?

get any kind of comped offer again from CB or EW? Will I ever get

Don't worry, BS. I'm still Diamond with Harrah's through April '08
(even though I've been told on that "other" board that I'm just
a "freeloader" and "not worthy of Diamond privileges") and I'll sneak
you into the DL for a wrap and a beer if you want to skip the CB hot
dog.
