New Classes At Silverton Announced

A second semester of free video poker classes will begin on
Tuesday January 9 and continue weekly until April 3. If the columns
don't line up well in this post, the information will be posted in the
near future on bobdancer.com.
  
  Everyone is invited. Feel free to post this information anywhere
you feel appropriate.

    All classes are free and held at Silverton Resort &
Casino
       in the Twin Creeks restaurant.
      
    Unless otherwise indicated, there will be a Beginner
       class at 10:00 a.m. and an Intermediate class for the

       same game beginning at noon. There will be drawings
for
       free gifts given to players who show up before 10:20
and
       remain until the end.

    Everyone is welcome!

I stopped in at Silverton yesterday morning and all the BD machines
were turned off and roped off. Maybe it was just maintenance?

King Fish complained about the 10 a.m. and noon class starting times: Is
the ungodly early time of these things a strategy to keep the pros out?

Personally I'd prefer to teach classes at 3 a.m. --- but I've been told
that the attendance would be too small.

The best place for classes in this casino is in the steakhouse --- which
is in the restaurant business beginning at 5 p.m. and needs to set up
beforehand. If they had a ballroom there would be more flexibility.

One class during the past semester needed to be held in the buffet
because the steakhouse was being used for an employee meeting. The
smells of the food were so distracting that most people chose to eat
lunch rather than attend the second class.

I had a job where I started at midnight till 8am, trust me, you don't
want to do that, 10 AM is perfect!
