Currently all the full pay machines (at least all the machines I
played) at both the Edgewater and the Colorado Belle accrue points at
the rate of 3 points for each $4 of play. Cash back is $2 for each
1000 points and comp is $2 for each 1500 points. I beleive this works
out to 0.15% cash back and 0.1% for comp. No free play - that now
comes by special offers, promos, etc.

I agree with these numbers for my one testing of FPDW at CB. My 40 hands/$50
coin-in moved my banked comp meter a nickel (.1%) and generated 34 points.

What is interesting is the new slot club brochures state .67/point for
machine slot, keno and blackjack, and $1.34/point for VP. But the bartops have a
mix of games and were putting out at $2 coin-in/3 points...which is .3%
cashback. This increase in cb also lowers the coin-in thresholds for the current
promos.

My snapshots of the comp rate varied from .1% to .23% in five different
sessions of tracking at various bartops, but always $2/3points.

Has anyone been able to participate in the low roller promos and drawings
playing the 100% VP? This would be the Fistfull of Cash for 350 points, Monday
Night Football tickets for 100 points and the Turkey Trot drawing for 500
points? The fine print in the 100% VP signage states that all promos are excluded.
One also has to wonder if significant play on the 100% games will influence
the marketing mail.

So $234 coin-in generates 350 points on bartops and get your daily Fistfull
envelope. I am 6 for 7 getting $5 free-play and one 500 points ($1). $ 5/$
234 is 2.14%.

These numbers came from talking with host in the office. Play seems
to verify.

We had no trouble getting the Fistfull of Cash at either the ED or
the CB and we played exclusively FPVP. -- very worthwhile promo --
the wife and I got several freeplay cards (the best for $25), and a
free room valid on Friday or Saturday, plus comp amounts of $5 and
$10 etc. and of course three 500 point cards (that's $1) which is the
bottom of the barrel. We also participated in the Turkey Shoot at
both casinos but to no avail. Basically I'd forget the fine print
signage at the 100% machines. As for how exclusive play on positive
VP will influence marketing mail, well that may be interesting. A
couple of months back I was in the slot offce at the ED checking on
my comp account -- she looked at my "file" and said "Oh, you've been
play positive games." I believe that she inadvertantly let slip a
bit more info than she realized, or perhaps should have.

I stayed at the CB and EW from Nov 2-11 and played nothing but the FPJW at both places. I did the Fistfull of Cash at both places everyday and won the Turkey Shoot drawing at the CB on Nov 10th. I'm still in Vegas so I don't know what mailed offers I have at home in LA. I did get the Reindeer Games offer for December, which I will take them up on in early December, looks like there's drawings similar to the Turkey Shoot. As long as they offer free rooms and the games I like I'll keep going. I was able to convert my points to free play at the machines, which I really liked. I pretty much broke even for the trip, Pat
