New Bonus (bogus style) Poker Paytable

Well I reviewed the vpFREE Paytable section linked on the vpFREE Homepage.
It is sad to report that I have a new one to add. I found IGT Bogus Bonus in a
new configuration, as of June 29th, in Game King platforms.

Where? At the Colorado Belle and the Edgerwater.

The vpFREE Bonus listing is now:

Bonus Poker

1-1-3-4-5-08-25-40-80-50-800 ... 86.31%
1-1-3-5-7-10-25-40-80-50-800 ... 92.54%
1-1-3-5-8-10-25-40-80-50-800 ... 94.18%
1-2-3-4-5-06-25-40-80-50-800 ... 96.87%
1-2-3-4-5-07-25-40-80-50-800 ... 98.01%
1-2-3-4-5-08-30-30-30-50-800 ... 98.48%
1-2-3-4-5-08-25-40-80-50-800 ... 99.17% - BP (FP)
1-2-3-4-5-08-35-35-35-50-800 ... 99.66%

Two of the paytables listed are IGT Bogus Bonus...8/5/30 and 8/5/35. I found
Bogus Bonus 6/5/35 in nickels in Game Kings. My Winpoker run coughs-up
97.36%.

Just shows how far this pair of casinos has fallen...at this time. You could
play nickel 9/6 Jacks at the CB under the MGM/Mirage flag. Maybe they are
just trying to establish a base line for the new ownership?

When a Bonus Poker paytable is changed to give the same payout for all 4-of-a-kinds, the game becomes exactly the same as Jacks-or-Better, no matter what they call it. In other words, 8/5/30 BP is the same as 8/5/30 JoB; both return 98.48%. It's lost the distinguishing characteristic of BP - different payouts for quad Aces and 2's-4's.

So I don't think we need to list these "Bogus Poker" (as you rightly call it) paytables separately - just list them under Jacks-or-Better. However, it might be convenient for the uninitiated to duplicate them under BP.

John, actually the name is derived from the fact that it is NOT
exactly the same as JoB -- which pays 25 for all 4 oak. The "Bonus"
name comes from the fact that all 4 oaks pay a "bonus" over JoB 4
oaks.

My game of choice is 8/5 BP (99.17%), so when I discovered 8/5/35 BP I
missed the different levels of 4 oaks. But once I realized it is a
better play at 99.66%, I have really learned to like it a bunch.
