New Bob Dancer classes at El Cortez

I am posting this notice via the administrator because I recently
changed my email sending address and Yahoo hasn't caught up with
it so I currently am not able to post.

I will be beginning a new semester of classes at the El Cortez on
January 9. I'm posting it a month early as there are some
out-of-town vpFREE members who are planning their Vegas trips and
might want to take in a class or two while they are here. There
will be a class taught for the first time this semester on 16/11
Double Deuces.

January 9 9/6 Jacks or Better
January 16 10/7 Double Bonus
January 23 9/5 Super Double Bonus
January 30 9/7 Triple Double Bonus
February 6 16/11 Double Deuces
February 13 NSU Deuces Wild
February 20 9/4/4 Deuces Bonus
February 27 Kings or Better Joker Wild
March 6 one class What video poker players need to know
                                      about slot clubs
March 13 one class Secrets of a Video Poker Winner
      
All classes are free and held at El Cortez Hotel & Casino in
Roberta's Steak House on Wednesdays.
    
Unless otherwise indicated, there will be a Beginner class at
10:00 a.m. and an Intermediate class for the same game beginning
at noon. Light refreshments will be served

I know we have some world class handicappers on vpFREE. Would anyone
like to put an over/under number on how long the Jokers last after
these classes?

Me too? The last time I visited El Cortez, I was escorted by security
to my car in the parking garage and told if I returned I would be
arrested. Do I just show a copy of this invitation to security at the

Hi vegasplayer,

Would you mind sharing with the forum what led to your being
trespassed? I know that Don (The Dentist) suffered a similar fate
some time ago. Did anyone give you an explanation of any kind?

I stay at the EC on occasion and have never had a problem. I'm
curious as to what might lead to this ugly situation.

The same thing happened to me...not just please don't play VP any
more...but TRESSPASSED...set one foot on the property and you are
subject to arrest.

And now the El Cortez is cozying up to advantage VP players?

There is something rotten in the state of Denmark.

I'd like to hear the story too, Babe. But, let me take a wild guess
while we are waiting on vegasplayers response: He probably ran his
cashback too high before cashing. That's how they peg people as pros
at EC. The boothlings can write a voucher for only so high--$200 I'm
guessing. With a high number they gotta get a suit to sign off.
While he's signing off he signs the culprit off who ran that much
cashback. I don't think you will ever have a problem, Babe, as you
are from out of town and only in town for a few days. It's a
different story for locals.

But even if you are playing dollar Jokers you can run only about $5
an hour CB because the machines play so slow--maybe $15 an hour at 3X
points. I've always taken the CB down on the same day I played, not
letting it build up, and have never had a problem. I think the
problems start when people let their CB build to a point where they
get the suit scrutiny.

I think that your guess is probably correct, Mickey. I always
collect my CB when it gets close to $100.00. I figure that if I
leave it with the casino, it's not going to earn any interest, so it
might as well be in my wallet.

The maximum that boothlings can dispense, w/o calling a suit, is
$150.00. I believe that it's wise to not let the CB accumulate even
that much.

You are so right! I do play the super slow, clunky .50c & 1.00 JW
machines quite a bit. But I think that I'm earning more points per
hour, playing the fast quarter TITO's.
