New BConnected

Anyone have anything to share from the VIP unveiling last night?

I had about 700,000 points ($700) disappear from my Boyd players
card yesterday around the unveiling time. When I took my card out
of the machine, my balance went to 0.

I asked at the Rewards desk and was told they will look into it,

but it may take a couple of days.

Did anyone else notice anything like this?

BConnected points earned by different tier levels was not published so that Boyd Gaming can change it at their discretion without having to modify the rules.

Here is the rule:

  1. A member may receive B Connected Points based on tier level, where and when applicable on select gaming activity. The formulas for award of B Connected Points and cashback privileges is determined by Boyd Gaming, and such formulas may be changed by Boyd Gaming from time-to-time in its sole discretion. Cashback may not be available at all Properties. Questions regarding tier status and redemption can be directed to the B Connected Club.

Just got a new offer from Boyd, 2x Tier Points for Ruby. Max 100 points. Whoopeeeeeee Takes 751 Tier points to get to Sapphire or you get nothing for your play.

I suspect the tier point plan Boyd came up with won’t last through the end of 2018.

I’ve been Emerald for a couple of years and was receiving at least $75 free play each month along with four free buffets. now I get $35 free play and one buy one get one free buffet. Since $1500 coin in will only earn 2 or 3 tier points I won’t qualify for gift days or free meals for earning 40 tier points. Next year I won’t even be able to qualify for a Sapphire card. I think I have been told to go away.

We have been low roller Ruby players at Sam Town. At one time they were giving us 3 free nights. We were happy to get free nights and points for food. I had 75,000 Bconnected points that have now been wiped out.

I don’t think Sam’s Town attracts a Platinum crowd!. We see no reason to ever go back! We will just play the So. Cal Indian casinos. I think this move is going to hurt them…Any other Ruby players have comments?

We stopped going to Las Vegas years ago. We win more at the local Native American casinos, and some are just like being in “Old Las Vegas”.

Las Vegas has changed over the years and not for the good. They tried the “family” genre in the 90’s and that was a flop. Then they tried the “Hollywood and Sport Star” motive and that was a flop. They are currently in the “Nightclub” hub bub and that’s not working either. They should have learned if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Gamblers are what built Las Vegas.
