How could he have changed anything in the email YOU sent? Do you understand
how mailing lists work?

I suspect you made some sort of cut and paste slip up. No need to blame it
on someone else.

Mr. Coleman,

If you are forwarding or re-posting a message, don't change the original

Dear Kingfish,

I don't understand how mailing lists or message boards work but I've noticed a delay between the time I post and the time the message is actually posted. I "assumed" someone was screening the messages beforehand. Please note I "deleted" the original accusation and "apologised" in my public reply to Mr. Coleman (in my own way). I took him at his word.

I suspect you are correct about your "cut and paste slip-up" conclusions: I made a mistake. However, I genuinely thought someone had altered my message.

Have you ever noticed that the message summaries contain text that cannot be found in the body of the text of the actual message? I have, and I don't know how or why it happens. I have a suspicious nature. Perhaps I also have a tendency to look for fault where none exists. I tend to look outward instead of inward. You have helped me to see that about myself. Can you suggest a link where I can learn how mailing lists and public message boards work? Thank you.
