vpFREE's Negative Personal Comments Policy:
"6. Anyone who posts negative personal comments or criticism,
as perceived by the Administrator and regardless of
circumstances, will have their posting privileges revoked
for an appropriate period of time. When you disagree with
someone, consider replying by private email. If you respond
publicly, be objective, polite and impersonal (address the
message, not the messenger)."
This relatively new policy is intended as a proactive measure
to objectively reduce disruptive situations, and it is fully
operational and being enforced across the board. In a nutshell,
this policy means that criticizing, or even referring to, another
member in a negative vein is against the rules. Disagree with
what someone posts all you like, but confine your disagreement
and any responses to the message content.
