In mid May my wife and I are spending five nights in a Tower Parlor
Suite room at Wynn. I used to play 25c 100 way at the Palms. One day
before we saw Le Reve we walked part of Wynn's casino where I spotted a
50c and $1.00 100 way machines in a quiet corner. Palms has much
traffic.
I had been playing over 150k/day on the 25c 100 way Palms Bonus Poker
or Double Bonus Poker at around 99.1% return. My question concerns how
many hours per day can I play 100 way JOB at 99.5, or BP and DBP @
99.1% in order to assure that my losses do not exceed $40k at the end
of the five day stay. I know this sounds very negative, but I also am
a realist. I want to have a good time and not have to worry about
bankroll. I don't know the max speed of 100 way machine (300 hands per
hour or so?) I have Win Poker and the Dancer/Daily books so I know
optimal play for these games quite well. Having started to play this
at home on the computer, I know the +/- swings can be extraordinary
over a short period of time. What swings might I expect. Any comments
on the math for me. You don't have to tell me I shouldn't be playing
these games, but I am an action junkie. Denny

I am not a math wiz but maybe I can give you some anecdotal
information based on over 2 years JOB play on 100 line machines.
looking at my play logs from last year my worst losing streak
consisted 14 sessions with a net loss of 147,000 coins. Since I was
playing penny machines this was $1,470.00 but at dollars this would
be over 3&1/2 times your $40,000 loss limit. During this losing
streak I played around 50 hours and exactly 15,312 hands at 500
coins per hand. Granted this was extremely bad luck but it happened.
To show you how extreme this losing streak was for the entire year I
played 67,632 hands running $338,000.00 through the game and lost
$1880.00. Playing at the 50 cent level you should do ok unless you
have a streak like I described above. Also don't get discouraged by
some negative input, I got the same thing when I posted a question
about RoR and JOB afew months ago. I bet you'll get enough high
roller treatment to more than make up for what you lose. Good Luck!
Wow: I never saw a string that bad at 25c even palying double
bonus. Thanks for the constructive response to my question. Denny
