Need Calculation Help/Cal Heart Condition

While in Vegas recently, I stayed and played at the Cal for 6 nights
of my stay. They have a bank of 10/7DB; half of the bank is 50c,
half is dollars. The bonus on this bank is that a RF in hearts is
worth an extra 1000 coins. While my results were horrid, I find the
possibility of getting this bonus adds to the fun and excitement.

One hand I was dealt gave me cause to pause AFTER the draw. I was
dealt KQJ9 of hearts (the 5th card being inconsequential). The
correct hold under normal circumstances is to go for the STFL, which
I did. On the draw, the AH popped up. It then occurred to me that
with the 1000 coin bous on a heart RF that dropping the 9H may have
been the better play.

Wanting to know the added EV of this bonus feature and adjustments
to strategy, I tried to plug this into both WinPoker and FVP...
without success. Can either of these programs handle this
scenario? If so, how?

Thanks in advance for helpful responses.

From Winpoker viewpoint:

Note the frequencies of the "Analyze Game" of normal DB 10/7/5.

The important ones are- One in X hands

Royal- 48,048
SF- 8,841
Flush- 66.87

Go change the royal to 5,000. Run the analysis. Significant changes occured.

Royal- 37,479
SF- 8,683
Flush- 70.18

It sure looks like there could be major strategy changes if you have a "heart
condition" at the Cal.

Winpoker can't directly give you these changes from 10/7/5. It will take
some hit and miss trials. The first one I would try is the 4 Flush/3 to a Royal
play. Then examine things like 3 Flush 2hi/2 royal. And so on...

With the royal frequency more often than even Jacks 9/6 and the increased SF
frequency you know you will be going for royals, when you have that "heart
condition".

Of course the easy way would be to use a strategy generator program, but this
is how Bob talks us through similiar deviations/promos using Winpoker in his
columns.

Overall EV- ballpark: 3 parts 100.17% and 1 part 100.64% equalizes to 100.29%

I don't think all of this analysis is necessary for the strategy
shift for the particular hand in question: KQJ9,x

It is much simply done in Excel, once the distribution of the paying
hands for each hold is obtained from WinPoker or FVP. And those do
not depend on the Royal Premium; or in fact any particular payout
table.
