Need advice

I am planning my first trip to Reno (July or August). Would
appreciate some help.

1). My SO and I like to play $1 PE. From the database, it looks
like Atlantis is the best choice. Agree?

2). Should we expect to get our rooms comped before we go on our
first trip or after we play?

3). Debbie Greig and Susan Moreno are listed as hosts to contact.
Still good choices?

Thanks for the help

I really like the Atlantis, but Reno Hilton also has $1 Pickem. I
haven't really played there in a while. The main differences to me is
that Atlantis has a bigger variety of positive games/close to positive
games if you want a break from Pickem. Also, they are very generous
with comps and expect lots of mailers for future tournaments. In
favor of the Hilton is that they do have cashback, which is always
nice. If you will only be in Reno once a year or so, you may prefer
to get the cashback. You can probably get your room comped. I didn't
even have an assigned host when I used to play there, but it was
pretty easy to go into their VIP office and get the room charge comped
(but mind you that was maybe two years ago).

I am not sure there. It wouldn't hurt to call and ask what they can
do upfront. Tell them what you play and for how long you play or give
them an estimate of coin in and see what they say.

I really like Susan, she's been a pretty good host to me. I can't
recommend anyone at the Hilton because I haven't been there in so
long.

Keith,
I have been playing at Atlantis since April of last year..I began
traveling 2 Reno in search of housing twice a month.
The staff and Hosts have been outstanding in coutesy and being
welcomed with a smile.

My gaming experience has been "very profitable" and have made
Atlantis my primary choice.

Comps are fairly liberal ....My Host has always accomodated my room
requests (availability based of course). 1st trip room/meal comps
were offered to me when I was introduced to my host.

My Host is Scott Huston..a very outgoing and personable guy..He is
able to work with any situation and would recommend contacting him
prior to your trip. Be up front with your requests..and Scott will
provide you with up front answers. I think you will find him
enjoyable to talk with.

I would be happy to provide an Introduction ...Or use my name
as "Recommended refel" as I do have a good relationship with Scott.
Or if you provide me your contact info...I will pass that on "in
person and recommend he contact you.

Hope all this helps.
Best of Luck and Regards..

Greg

The Reno Harrah's $1 Pick'em _are_ full play (Sports Casino, next to
the live poker area). I checked them yesterday.

The $1 Pick'em at the Atlantis _may not_ be full pay, I remember
checking them earlier this month and I think they have been
downgraded (I wasn't paying attention because I was mainly checking
the AA). Can someone confirm this? Hate to see you getting
disappointed.
