“I think it is new policy, but the host was evasive when I asked her directly about it on the last night”
On my last night on The Breakaway back in August I asked about comping some money off my bill as had always been done in the past. She looked up my account and read aloud how much I had lost. Stated I had lost much more on previous cruises (read me the number from my cruise earlier in the year) and therefore there wouldn’t be much she could do for me. I talked to her a bit about coin in numbers and time spent in the casino etc. She agreed those counted for something…but bottom line now is all about how much you lose. She ended up just comping me dinner at Oceans Blue and the $50 dollars I had earned in tier score. Later that night I hit a $4000 royal :o)
I am going on a Mexican Rivera cruise in Jan. When I called casino at seas to book it, I was told they would only comp an inside room (I have been comped a balcony for years now) I had to use my Seven Star cruise to get the balcony room. I’ve never used a 7* cruise before as I was always able to just call CAS and book direct. I spoke to my CAS cruise consultant and he told me that things have been changing and total losses seem to be the formula they are using now. He gave me an email address casinoinquir…@…com that I could use if I wanted to take the issue further. Since I was able to use a 7* cruise this time I did not bother.
So moral of the story is yes winning on NCL is now highly frowned upon!
