At the grand opening of the Soaring Eagle Indian casino in Michigan I went with pen & paper to write about the offered VP for Dan's Video Poker Times. During my research I was approached by security (at least six) and escorted out of the area for a discussion on what I was doing. I had nothing to hide, I told them. The Indian Regulation Agent (a women) wanted my scalp (sorry). The head of security made me tear up my notes & I was escorted (most of the way) to my car. Once there I wrote everything I could from memory & did submit the story to Dan. As I recall his editorial comment said it all - what were they trying to hide?
Just b4 relocating to LV we went to the Soaring Eagle with friends for a weekend break, stayed at the property, etc. Granted we're skilled players playing playing "short" games but we didn't win a dime. This is absolutely no proof but you've got to wonder.
