Native American Casinos

At the grand opening of the Soaring Eagle Indian casino in Michigan I went with pen & paper to write about the offered VP for Dan's Video Poker Times. During my research I was approached by security (at least six) and escorted out of the area for a discussion on what I was doing. I had nothing to hide, I told them. The Indian Regulation Agent (a women) wanted my scalp (sorry). The head of security made me tear up my notes & I was escorted (most of the way) to my car. Once there I wrote everything I could from memory & did submit the story to Dan. As I recall his editorial comment said it all - what were they trying to hide?

Just b4 relocating to LV we went to the Soaring Eagle with friends for a weekend break, stayed at the property, etc. Granted we're skilled players playing playing "short" games but we didn't win a dime. This is absolutely no proof but you've got to wonder.

Well this is no proof either, but I feel (did not keep sufficient
statistics) that I have had more than my fair share of royals
there. My wife who has only been playing vp a couple of years has
had her fair share. We both have had them dealt to us and I have
had one on a re-deal. All other holds have resulted in royals as
well. As far as four deuces go, they seem to come along at an
expected rate. On many occasions I have had four deuces twice in
the same night. As far as overall return it seems right also.
Again I have not kept statistics, but nothing seems out of the
ordinary.

I worked with number and statistics for over 25 years in my job, so
I really did not want to get into laborious record keeping when I
started playing vp, but I think I have a good intuitive feel for the
numbers. My point, no I cannot support my statements with hard
numbers, but our overall payback seem to be within expected
variations.

Just for the record, NSUD are available there with a 0.167% CB
payback. No this is not a positive situation. Food, lodging, and
concerts are comped at quite a bit higher rate. All in all, the cost
of recreation is not bad.

Gang,

In my mail today, in a Mandalay Bay mailer, it states to bask in the benefits of your One Club membership....at Mohegan Sun!!! Mohegan Sun has been added to One Club.

The offer is for a Room Rate from $125, 2 Free Buffets, 2 Free Cabaret Tickets & a $10 Free Bet Coupon.

We don't go to the Mohegan Sun that often. However, I'm interested how existing points can be credited to One Club. Also, how do new points compute into One Club.

My guess is that this offer is to compete with the Boyd/MGM opening of "The Borgata" in Atlantic City.

I'm sure more information will be disclosed in due course.
