He really doesn't have much to worry about as far as
me invading his
turf. Which was probably my turf long before it was
his. I just
don't spend much time in Reno anymore. The town is
still a great
deal for sharp gamblers from out-of-town but not so
great for local
APs anymore.
I disagree with this statement that Reno is not a
great place for local Advantage Players. As a
frequent visitor to Reno/Sparks (22 trips last year),
I can attest to the multiplicity of positive VP games
available in many Casinos (JA Nugget, Atlantis,
PepperMill) and the promotions that favor those that
can visit the casino daily.
All three Casinos mentioned above have daily card
swipes, where the player can win instant prizes of as
much as $1000 (JA Nugget) without even playing a
machine!! Each has free slot and VP tournaments
during weekdays with substancial prizes awarded during
8PM ceremonies. Hardly something that a weekend
player can take advantage of.
JA Nugget still has several 100%+ Sigma games, 9/6 JOB
with 4700 RF, 10/7 DB, and a Progressive VP bank that
frequently goes over 10,000 coins for the 5 cent and
25 cent levels. Just last week, it was hit for $2900
at the quarter level, ON A WEDNESDAY MORNING!!
Atlantis has 10/7DB, NSUD, and the best VP blackjack
game in the Reno Area. All these games are located
not only in the "Black Lung" casino floor, but in the
"Pink Lung" smoke free Skyway. You can play VP for up
to $1, 10 coin on many machines.
Atlantis also offers a free room once every 3 months,
to any local with a slot card for a weekday stay.
Great place to plant your out-of-town visitors instead
of the roll-a-bed.
