mystery multiplyer at coast

On Wednesday I got the 50x on slots and 30x on vp at Sams Town for the mystery swipe. Very excited

everyone else I talked to the best they received was 5x for vp. Played the first 1000 points pulled my card

to check if I received the 30x and it was on the card. Played out the balance of my 10000pts for the day

and checked my card and found that only had 7x on my play for the day. Went to the rewards and asked

why my total was off. Said it was maybe delayed because of the size of the multiplyer. Checked the next

day on the Bconnect web site and nothing changed. Went in today ask at the rewards desk why I hadn’t

received all my bonus points. Lady didn’t know why not so went to talk to her supervisor. She came out

and told
me that the maximum amount of bonus points anyone can receive is 60,000 or 7x on 10,000 pts

earned. She also said that I received 30x on the first 2,334 pts which amounted to the maximum bonus

points you can earn in any bonus multiplyer. So I played 7,666 points with no bonus. Has anyone else

had this problem or even come across it. Not very happy with the outcome. Any suggestions.

Good to know for future reference...sorry it happened to you. I would have done the exact same thing you did.

Assuming that you are at the Emerald level, do you know if you received the 3x points for the 7,666 points earned that was not eligible for 30x points?

As a follow up, you must swipe your card at a kiosk BEFORE you play to get any bonus multiplier.

Being set in my ways (translation: old), I forgot to swipe at the Gold Coast until I earned almost 3,000 points. The booth was very adamant about not making any adjustments.

It may be legally right, but it aint right, if you know what I mean.

Was in town at the various Boyd properties when this mystery multiplier bogusness started (at Suncoast between Christmas and New Year’s). I always got 7x points, but did not think to check the fine print. They have very flashy signs–win up to 50x…don’t remember any fine print, but I’m sure it was there. So what the boothling said was, if you play for any decent length of time at all, the multiplier “won” doesn’t really matter at all with regards to how many points you will accumulate–you’ll be screwed by the 10,000 limit on all VP multipliers, or you’ll be screwed out of the bonus on your tier level, or you’ll be screwed out of this multiplier’s fine print.

I know Bob Dancer reads these pages; seems like a good topic of discussion for Gambling with an Edge, because Boyd sure dulled our “edges” with this one.

Good thing I left town before I got “lucky” and hit 50X–think I might have snapped if they tried to shaft me like this. And I “WAS” one of Boyd’s biggest proponents.

Maybe someone can answer this. If you were to go to another Boyd property on the same day, could you get another bonus multiplier or would you just get a “normal” tier level bonus? Guess I’m trying to say would that 60k max bonus apply across all Boyd properties as a daily max, or just to a specific property.

While very annoying, I would advise chalking it up to experience and moving on. Since they have moved to a system like Stations where swiping is required to activate multipliers, I am sure they will soon start excluding people that way from promotions without having to do a messy trespass like they currently do at Suncoast. Soon anyone with an IQ above retard level that plays video poker will be banned from Coast casinos promotions too. Why accelerate the process by bringing unwanted attention?

I can confirm that the HIDDEN limit of 60,000 bonus points is in effect at Gold Coast. I can also confirm this limit applies to VP, but there is a different limit for slot play. I only played a few points to verify that I was still getting the 50X on slots so I don’t know what the upper limit is on slot play.

does anyone know if it takes less coin in to earn a tier point on non advantage machines than it does on advantage machines?

The only difference that I’m aware of is that play on slot machines gives two tier credits for each dollar of action. Playing VP gives only 1 tier credit per $.

If you are referring to the over-100% payback machines at Sam's Town LV, it was posted here in February that they are $1 coin-in per tier credit. Here it is:
