my san diego notes

OK, so I just got back from my first ever trip to SD. Beautiful
weather and plenty to do and see. Also sooo many casinos!
Stayed at Rincon on a 7* trip, nice, but nothing to play unless you
are a real High Roller, 2 $5 job machines and 2 or 3 $25/$100 job
machines in the whole place..... very sad. I did not play at all.

Valley view: I dont know how long they have been open, but they are
expanding and too bad they dont have a hotel, quite a few good
machines, and as has been reported a very excellent buffet. I did not
monitor my coin in to verify the .25 cash back, but it seemed correct.
although they were very stingy with disc. comps. I had $55 in CB,
and they sqealed to give me $10 in comp.

Pauma: saw it as I drove by and checked it out, all games were
marginal (about 99.0% at best), except the 4 Summit gaming machines
with very odd games/paytables. I didnt do the math, but it seemed
that some of these games could be about 99.5%???, but only at $1
single line. I didnt get a card or hang around.

Pala: Very nice, found lots of NSUD as reported and the bank of NSUD
$1 sl w/prgsv although the meter seemed pretty slow. Played the new
All Star machines with $1 spinpoker full pay JOB and Bonus Deluxe, was
taking quite a bath until I managed a single RF, which put me ahead
and I decided to call it a session, went to go get my .1% cb and was
told 'we dont have any cash back at all' only comps from my points, I
was very glad I was ahead and wont be back! Comp rate was the
reported .1%, but comp not cash.

Barona: Wanted to play the reported .10 JW2 100 play machines, of
which there are 4 in the low roller area by the stage. Good luck ever
getting on one, as per usuall, they were in use by smoking ploppies
with a handfull of $1s and $5s and playing anywhere from .01 to .50
per hand, and of course never 5 coins per hand, you might win toooo
much! But, one person took a small break and allowed me to check the
machine out and it does have the .10 JW2 available. Played .50 10
play NSUD and the machines 'auto hold' never glitched from perfect
statagy as far as I could tell. Ate a Sage and the Buffet, both were
very good. Got my .1% cash back and some disc. comps.

Overall, a great trip, won a little money and saw some good sites and
went to the beach with sunny 80 degree weather in Feb, what could be
better.

Glad you enjoyed your trip and it seems like you hit most of the
casinos. Its ashame that there is no really good vp in california.
Its not like the casinos are going to lose much consider most around
the area are not knowledgebale (I am being kind) and most play keno
or penny slots.
