BTW with these posts regarding slot day times, are the posters
saying
that MS comps are based on daily averages rather than trip
averages?
Are VP players rated solely on coin-in ?
Larry F.
Theoretical, not coin-in. (At last check that is 8.35% on $1 JOB, 6%
on $1 PKM, and 4.5% on .25 PKM.) Your single most important number
is your 4-month moving average daily theo. You want to back that up
with a total yearly theo that's 50 times that. Trip average is very
hard to computerize (i.e. how do you define what constitutes a
trip?) I, and many others from CT, live 45min away. How do they
know whether I left and came back the next night or just stayed
over? If you feel shorted, that's when a human being (like a host)
can step in, examine your play, and "add 2 and 2 together." They do
this a lot when admitting someone into a lounge. However, the
computer only keeps detailed summations of your play for the last 30
days. And a host who can't remember to return your phone calls is
hardly going to remember you were there 4 days in a row 11 weeks ago,
and gambled heavy on 3 of them. That's why it's important to keep
track of the gambling day, and if you're not going to play much, then
don't use your card at all on that day.
As far as W2G-day goes, (I personally have not been lucky enough to
worry about it,) I would ask them to file it on the day you wish
since a human being has to be involved to file it anyways. I would
ask them to file it on the early day on your first hit. That way you
can file a later one on the later day if it would otherwise put you
over $10,000 or larger number.
