My opinion on posting (XVP)

In my opinion, someone who has something to say about everything usually
doesn't have much of importance to say about anything.

Just got home, found 15 new posts, 8 of them by the same person. Talk about
dominating a conversation!

I will no longer be reading posts by this person, unless the thread has me
absolutely fascinated.

I mean no attack, no offense. Just my personal opinion. Possibly, some of you
might agree with me.

I'm sure you're talking about me, and I guess I have gotten a bit carried away ... just enjoying myself and being sociable ... and figured that anyone who wasn't interested would simply ignore my posts. I thought that these boards were all about conversing with other folks who like to talk about VP and exchange ideas in a friendly way, and learning from one another. Because of the way these boards work, where anyone can easily ignore any posts that they want, I didn't think that it was actually possible to monopolize a conversation, but if that's what it seems like, well I'll just shut up and give over folks plenty of opportunity to speak their piece. I sure didn't realize that I was annoying anyone, and never intended to do so. I apologize to everyone, and I'll make a conscientious effort to cut back. Sorry about that.

Merry Christmas.

I will no longer be reading posts by this person . . .

I don't see the problem. Each of us is always FREE to read or not
read anything
posted. Personally, I bog down on long discussions of the mathematics
supporting a
statistical analysis, but that doesn't mean I think no one should
post them. IMHO,
lighten up and let it go. (But, then, I'm from California, so . . .)

Although I am new to this board I would suggest that you go to "Edit
My Membership" & select "no email" under "message delivery" if you do
not want to receive messages, no matter who they are from or the
quantity. Personally, I enjoy the information that I get from this
board & the price is right.

Interesting post, Brian ... had me doing a reality check to see if it
was directed at me. Given what has been some unduly over-heated post
activity on my part lately, it might well have been.

When it comes to groups such as this, there's a lot to be said for
"Less is More". That's something of which I occasionally lose track
in my excited furvor to add my two bits.

It's perhaps best to be know from one's best contributions rather than
everything a person can manage to glop across a website.

Harry, I confirmed via private e-mail that this was in reference to me. While Brian's post has apparently caused you to reflect a bit upon your own postings, I sure hope your reply doesn't mean that you're going to be posting any less often or with any less detail than in the past. I thoroughly enjoy all of your posts; keep them coming. Thank you.

Cheers.

I enjoy your posts!

Harry

I enjoy your posts!

I believe EveryBody should be able to post as often as
they wish on the subject of VP.

Post away!!
