My 'ode' to the Sigma's (circa 1994)....Riverside, et al

For those of you who still enjoy the 'sights' and sounds (if still audible) on those old-tyme Sigma games, at least at the RIVERSIDE - you have until end of the year or so (2013) to be able to still play them.

The 'ol' coin-droppers will soon be replaced. Stickers on most of the Double -Jackpot games I tried had a sticker that read:

"Due to the age of this machine, it lacks the technology needed to provide our standard of customer service and will be replaced in early 2014." 20 years - it's been fun.

I haven't played them as much as I would have liked, but do remember playing the games at various casinos (mostly Stations in LV - Boulder, Texas, Palace - when 'experimental' vp games were a novelty, and sometimes paytables were looser than expected, volatility also higher). Ah...the 'good' ol' days...

SO - Farewell, my Sigma friend. Double-Jackpot Bonus, Dbl-Dbl-Jackpot, 'flush-attack'. Some of the good old favorites.

PS - Those who play at the Riverside, this month (October) all month long, quad 10s pays extra 125 coins (read the rules, if you play any multi-line games). Generally one payout, natural quad 10s on .25 vp and higher. I tried and only got 4-2s, 5s, 7s, 8s (and 2s not on bonus poker). It was worth a try.

Other places where these games are seen:
AVI does have the 8-6-5 Double-Double Jackpot games, a bank of 8 slanttops as you approach the hallway that leads to pool area/food court and bingo, near the cage.

And of course GN, as far as I know, still has the better paying version. Pioneer had a few scattered machines at one time, but I didn't venture in there this trip.

Martin.
