My first Pick'Em Royal

Happened yesterday night (April 10) at 7PM. It was on the full pay (of
course  bartop $0.25 machine to the left of the pepetually broken
one. I was having no luck on a different machine at the bar and
another player suggested that I switch. I got a 4-of-a-kind first and
then a short while later came the Royal. Payout was fast and I took a
picture of it with my cellphone, I'll be posting the picture soon.

Note, this is my first Royal Flush (Hearts) on Pick'Em since I starting
playing in early November 2004. I've been using the strategies/rules
in Bob Dancer's 'A Winner's Guide to Pick'em Poker' and it has really
helped with learning what to do in different instances (e.g. keep low
pair or go for flush? Answer - only go for flush if it has 2 high
cards at least).

Anyways, with an average frequency of 1 every 350,000 hands I guess I
won't be seeing another one for quite some time.

   Nick,

Congrats on doing the damn near impossible. I've been playing
Pick'Em since about 1998 and only have hit three of them. (two
quarter
and one dollar) I haven't hit one since 2003 and I've played a lot.
It
can get frustrating if you let it get to you. Luckily, you can still
win at this game without getting one. Quads are the "Bee's Knees" on
this game.
