My Deep-felt Appreciation

Again it is proven - having caring friends is one of the best things in
life! I want to thank everyone who e-mailed me, privately or on the forums.
Brad and I have read every message - and although I don't have the time or
the energy to answer each one personally, be assured each message was a real
lift to us!

The initial "episode" last Monday night seemed to be a "classic" heart
attack - severe chest pressure, pain down the left arm, and nausea - which
sent me to the emergency room. However, after 2 days in the hospital, all
the EKGs, blood enzyme tests, and the stress test showed no evidence of
cardiac problems. And then, fortunately, I was free of pain for 3 days
while 10 of Brad's family were here for a reunion. Thank goodness for
thousands of dollars in comps in our comp banks all over town ! We could
give them luxurious digs, spa visits, gourmet meals, show tickets, and
shopping sprees in casino gift shops. I was very glad I felt well enough to
orchestrate this because it was a wonderful time for Brad, the first time in
a long time all his children and grandchildren had been able to be together.

A bit disappointing to me, however, is that the chest pain has now returned.
So, I am looking at more tests, hopefully done as an out-patient - I prefer
to be in Brad's care at night - he spoils me like no hospital will do! The
doctors say it could be something like Prinzmetal's angina (heart spasms) or
it could be some underlying cause that is not heart related. Time will
tell.

In the meantime, I am taking this whole thing as a "shot across the bow." I
knew I was trying to do too much - and for a couple of months had already
been slowing down and relaxing more. I am really determined to continue on
that path. Thank goodness for friends who remind me when I backslide!

Again thanx SO MUCH to everyone who sent their messages of concern and their
prayers. I feel very loved and blessed.
