We often use this forum to gripe when service and conditions at
various casinos fail to meet our expectations.
We don't often enough (IMO) spread the word when casinos exceed our
expectations. Without further ado, here's my contribution.
RAILROAD PASS - STICKY BUTTON / FAST PLAY COSTS PLAYER QUADS.
I was in a couple of Thursdays ago (3x points day), playing $.25
Double Bonus.
Was dealt a pair of Jacks in the 1-2 positions.
Did a quick da-da-ding (da-da with left hand, "ding" with right
hand).
To my disgust, realised the second Jack wasn't held (sticky button).
Of course it's now too late - it's already dealing me the 3rd and 4th
Johnsons, and paying me 15 coins for my 3K.
I couldn't help remembering the previous time this happened to me at
Casino Niagara. I wasted about 45 minutes going up the chain of
command. Finally got a suit, who refused to pay me my $60, and who
thought he was being gracious by offering me a $15 food voucher.
Back to the present situation. I called an attendant over. He
eyeballed the screen, opened the machine, and brought up a display
showing 10 cards which included the original deal.
With no further ado, he completed a form giving me a hand-pay for 250
coins less the 15 the machine had already paid me.
Now that's what I call service. Thank you Railroad Pass.
