I have been playing Multistrike BP @ LED Gaming and thoroughly enjoy
it. Going to Vegas Labor Day Weekend and want to play but I'm unsure
whether my bankroll can take it. Would I be better off playing
multistrike at less than full coin in or playing single line with
full coin in. I'm not a math wiz and was unsure how the multipliers
affected the royal in the overall return.

Mark, MultiStrike can be enjoyed as a strong game even when playing
less than the full four lines. Because of the sharp climb in game
volatility (exposure to wins/losses), my wife and I prefer to play a 3
level game (5 coins per line) when we play MS.
A 3 level game is a win/loss experience somewhat akin to that of
10-coin single line -- i.e. $.25 3-Level MS ~= $.50 single line. (The
volatility of $.25 4 Level MS is greater than $1 single line play.)
Standard MS strategy needs to be shifted when you play fewer than 4
levels. If you play only 3 levels, than the strategy normally used
for Level 2 is used for the first level of play in a 3 Level game.
What we enjoy about 3 Level play is that there are only two sets of
strategy adjustments for MS play, vs the 3 sets of full 4 Level play.
And, the adjustments dropped for the level not played tend to be the
more complex ones.
When strategy is properly adjusted, you're giving up about .05% in ER
with each level reduction (but still have an ER that's greater than
the equivalent single line game). When you account for the reduced
play risk, that's not an unreasonable sacrifice.
If you enjoy MS, playing "short level" is a good way to include the
game in your play without going whole hog. Just double check that
you're still playing full pay tables at fewer levels and that you've
got the adjusted strategy down.

Harry-Thanks for the advice. Sometimes a different perspective is
needed as I didn't even consider dropping the top level and playing
full coin in. I think my bankroll can handle that a little easier
and in my limited practice of 3 levels, I have had favorable
success. I'll give it a try live this weekend. Thanks again, Mark
