Does anyone know of a website that has VP Multistrike strategies for
Bonus Poker or Double Double Bonus? The Bob Dancer article has a
quick strategy lesson for 9-6 Jacks or better and I found one for
Double Bonus, but I know the basic strategy of BP and DDBP much
better than I know those 2. I have programmed Winpoker to learn the
strategies for each level, but it will take a while to learn it just
from playing. And I'm heading to LV next week!

This is the place where the FVP software shines. You can quickly change the payoff for each line and FVP will give you the new strategy for each one in a "flash." (Well, maybe a long flash; depends on your computer) And then you can print out those strategies and take them with you into the casino.
You can order FVP on my website at http://www.frugalgambler.biz and if you are in a hurry you can have it sent Priority. I would see that you got it in two or three days.

I wonder if anyone has had any good luck playing multistrike.I have played it at Fiesta Rancho 3 times and lost big time all 3 , its always the same no matter which game i play. All the good hands are on the 1st line and then nothing on the 2nd line. When i do manage to get to the top line there is never a good hand. Maybe i just had bad luck , any comments.

I've had a mixed bag of emotions as far as Multistrike goes - but I have
beat it. These are my rules:
1. Go for the lowest denom that will still give you a trill. For me that's
10C
2. Start off with at least 2000 credits. It's an extremely volatile animal,
and you need to get to that 3rd and 4th line hundreds of times
before something big hits out there.
3. Don't bother playing unless its a 99.9 base Game or higher. Sam's town
has FP super aces ( 99.9). Better games are found in
Reno - FP deuces and FP Jokers.
4. I think the best way to play is to first master the "normal" strategy.
Then bring with you an "exception" list of what to do ( or what
not to hold) at levels 1,2,3.
PS - I beat the dime game at Sams by getting 4Aces on line 3 for an $800
score.
best wishes...Tom

I've had very poor luck too, getting quads only on the first line. I
just ordered Jean's VP software to get some strategy charts for the
game. I must say though that I can do without Multi-strike,
especially if the losses continue. My friend Tullio thinks Multi-
Strike will be the game of the future so I tried it out. But, using
regular strategy just does not make it. Will try again after I get
some strategies down.

You can create your own version of Super Aces on bdpwp 6.0 . Just go to the Games button and click on define, plug in the paytable you want and there you have it.
The only thing you can't create are wild card games.

I've lost my fair share on this game along with most others, despite
having 3 aces dealt on the top line at least twice, (and a four card
royal once) and never picking up the needed cards. I did have one
session playing 8/5 quarter BP, held a pair of 2's on the top line and
caught the other 2-2's. That was fun, but I was already down a couple
hundred when I hit it so not a very big win overall.

I think one of the downsides to the continued popularity of MS is that
a decent proportion of players are going to underestimate the
potential session loss.
It would be natural to compare it to multiline vp where 3-play $.25
had about the same volatility of single line $.50. Someone
comfortable with 3-play may very well look at multistrike and expect
it to only be a modestly rougher ride. In fact, the swings of MS are
probably in excess of twice that of 3-play (I wouldn't be surprised if
the actual value is something like 2.5x).
I wouldn't expect a typical player approaching a $.25 MS machine to be
prepared for something that's going to take a stronger stomach than a
$1 single line machine. The experience of losing $400-$800 in an hour
on more than one occasion (and in the case of a game such as DB, you'd
better allow $1000 or more) is going to turn a lot of players away
from the game.
Good paytables in a $.10 denomination are what's going to be essential
to the success of this game and I have the feeling that such games are
few and far between.
- Harry
I've played a couple of times. In Laughlin, I played the 10/7 DB at River Palms and won $300 in less than 10 minutes. At Fiesta Henderson, I played for about a half hour and left in disgust after I drew a blank to 4-Royal on the top line. But I was still up about $25.

Might the problem be that you (and everyone else) are playing machines
with an EV under 100% and therefore, only luck will allow you to win.

I've been very lucky on that bank of machines - in particular, I've had three royals on them, and two were on the 2nd line and the other was on the third ($1) line - I'm about $4K ahead on that bank of machines. On the other hand, I've experienced enough $800 losing sessions to know that all that could be gone in a month. It's an extremely volatile game.

As Jean Scott pointed out not long ago, you have to look beyond the EV
of the game for the whole picture. With promotions, cash back, mailers,
strategy changes, and comps I was at an advantage, but I guess the
machine didn't know it! If only the base game was over 100% I'm sure I
would have hit those aces and the royal! Drats!

Good comment - plus I will add - the game hasn't even been out long enough for anyone to get to the long term, even if you are playing over 100%!!!!!!

Thought I would share my super good luck with Multi Strike Poker.
I was in Las Vegas last weekend at the Rampart Casino. Visiting from
Chicago. Joe De Maria (Host) at the Rampart set me up with a room +
food and limo service from/to the airport.
Decided to play $1 Multi Strike(there were 2 of them in the high
limit area). I played 5 short term sessions of $1 DDB with the
following results:
1st session - lost $1800
2nd session - up $265
3rd session - up $235
4th session - up $345
5th session - up $32,210 ! - on the top line I held 10h Ah Jh and
drew the Kh Qh - signed for $32,075 !!
I still can't belive my good luck!

I found out I could change the pay table on double bonus to super aces with little trouble. I also played super aces at Sams Town on multistrike and even won a little bit. Hit 4 aces on bottom line and quads 2 times on the top line. Thats the 1st time I ever had a good hit on the top line. Also at the 10 and 25 cent levels super aces are full pay 99.9% plus. The ones at Fiesta Rancho short the full house to 7 so not full pay.I'm going to play it at Sams Town over the weekend during 6x points on Sat. and Sunday.
