Multistrike JOB 9/6 strategy?

Where can I find a good comprehensive strategy card/ranking for 9/6
JOB Multistrike? I have read the Bob Dancer article on
Multistrike.com, but I am looking for answers to some of the trickier
plays (when to hold 4 to a flush vs. 3 to a royal, etc.). Any help
would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

John,

The Multistrike article at GameMaster Online, referred to by the
Administrator, is a decent reference for the detailed strategies.

However, presuming that you already have a strong Jacks proficiency,
bear in mind that the limited strategy changes noted in Dancer's
article at the MultiStrike Poker website:
http://www.multistrikepoker.com/
are sufficient to play the game accurately.

In the case you identify, Dancer notes no exceptions to standard JB
strategy, i.e. you always hold a 3 card royal over a 4 card flush.

If I'm remembering correctly there are penalty card situations that give the 4 card flush hold a slightly higher ER? If one worries about these things......

Of all vp variants, MultiStrike will be the last place I take penalty
cards into account. You're juggling 4 strategies on the fly and the
simpler things are kept the better. It takes only a single key slip
to wipe out the advantage of paying attention to 100 penalty card
situations.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

Bob Dancer's strategy from his 6/17/03 article says that for levels 1, 2 &
3: Hold a 4 card flush over a 3 card royal only if the hand contains an A
and a T.

Below is the strategy from his 6/17/03 article. I tried earlier to include
his strategy in a post on ACVPP, but the attachment didn't come through. (I
added the asterisks. *** means the rule applies to levels 1, 2 & 3. **
means the rule applies to levels 1 & 2.)

Multi Strike Poker - 9/6 JOB

Level 1: Play normal 9/6 Jacks strategy with the following exceptions:
***Prefer a 4-card flush over a RF3 including an A and a T
***Never hold a suited ten with a high card
** Prefer a high pair to any SF4
** Never hold any SF3
** Prefer two high cards, suited or not, to a low pair
Prefer a single high card or a low pair to a 4-card flush with no high
cards
The only 4-card straight you ever hold is KQJT

Level 2 -- Play normal 9/6 Jacks strategy with the following exceptions:
***Prefer a 4-card flush over a RF3 including an A and a T
***Never hold a suited ten with a high card
** Prefer a high pair to any SF4
** Never hold any SF3
** Prefer two high cards, suited or not, to a low pair
Prefer a low pair to a 4-card flush with no high cards
Prefer two high cards, suited or not, to all 4-card straights except KQJT
Prefer a single high card to a 4-card straight with 0 or 1 high card
The only inside straight you ever hold is AKQJ

Level 3 -- Play normal 9/6 Jacks strategy with the following exceptions:
***Prefer a 4-card flush over a RF3 including an A and a T
***Never hold a suited ten with a high card
Prefer a high pair to a SF4 with an inside
Hold a suited QJ9 and JT9. Hold SF3 (no high cards: no insides) only if
there are no high cards in the hand. Hold no other SF3s
Prefer two high cards to 4-card straights with 1 high card
Prefer a single high card to a 4-card straight with no high cards
The only inside straight you ever hold is AKQJ

Level 4 and Free Ride -- Play normal 9/6 Jacks strategy
