Yes, I meant to respond with my congrats as well.
Unfortunately no context was provided so it neither supports nor
contradicts my observations. There will definitely be some winners if
enough people keep these machines occupied. I'm glad lady luck smiled
on one of our board contributors. The question that troubles me though
is whether or not players are hitting the jackpot hands at a rate
which is consistent with the expected cycles of these hands. From my
own personal experience the answer is a resounding no. And as I
previously mentioned I'm neither witnessing big wins nor do I hear
them being announced and this is a pattern that has persisted since
the summer. Just for the record, I spent 6 hours playing Multi-Strike
in Don & Mike's on my last visit and hit 4 deuces only twice, just
good enough to limit my loss to $100 (after discounting a $100 SDB
win). During that stretch at least 4 other people were playing at all
times, none of them had a big hit neither. Maybe like many police
departments we're in "quota season" and the machines' hand frequencies
have been set to "secondary" to cool off the action. Someone will have
some explaining to do when this pattern mysteriously goes away with
the beginning of the new year. Of course it's ultimately just good and
bad luck.
