The 6/4/2 rule effectively recognizes your exception.

It occurs to me that there is an exception to the 6/4/2 rule. That would be
in any Deuces version when dealt two or more Deuces. No strategy changes are
called for in that circumstance, as you will ALWAYS end up with at least trips,
and so are guaranteed to advance to the next level.
