Are there any full pay JoB VP machines in Las Vegas or
Laughlin? Or, does the fact that a machine is multiply hand
automatically mean a less than full pay schedule to compenstate
for the multiple hand advantage?
What makes you think that multiple hands creates an advantage? The
short answer is yes. Multiplay JB machines can be found in LV at
full pay.
Chandler,
I sorry, but I might have spoken out lack of knowledge and
experience. I made an assuption out of maybe faluty logic. There
just seemed to be an inherent advantage to be able to duplicate real
strong hands (when dealt to you) and this duplication is justified
with the pay back for RF, SF, and 4 of a Kind more than offsetting
multiple bad hands.
I am real new to VP, but have been practicing to learn perfect
play using Frugal VP. I am also keeping track on a side calculator
what the results would have achieved playing only one hand instead
the multiple 5 & 10. So, in addition the the about logic (maybe
faulty), I have been accummalting a lot of personal practice
knowledge that supports this idea. For example, I have had 5 RF in
not too long of a perioed of time. I really doubt I would have had
anything near 4 playing one hand at a time.
Another advantage seems to be the ability to play more hands in a
shorter period of time. I am sure this explains part of the reason
for the 4 RF. More RF in the extra hands is not my main point. It
is the power of duplcating rare strong hands that are dealt to you
that makes me believe there is an advangage. I understand the
increased volatility and consequent additional bankroll needed to
play multiple hands VP. Also, I am keeping accurate records as I
practice and learn perfect strategy using Frugal VP. I hope to be
able to better estimate money drawdowns expectations and bankroll
requirements.
It seems most indian casinos in Arizona have very limited multiple
hand VP machines. The only 10 play machine I found was on a $.05
machine and it had a 6/5 pay schedule. The only way to increase the
pay schedule was to use a machine that increased the bet size and
lower the number of hands. The best $.50 I have found is 5 hand 8/5
and its 3 hand is 7/5. On the same machine the $.25 (3 or 5) hand
pay schedule is 6/5
These are some of the reason I made the assuption. I certainly
accept correction on any of my assumptions or conclusions. I am just
learning and have found this board both valuable and humbling. Oh,
by the way, I had my first "real time" RF last weekend on the $.05 -
10 hand machine. I was playing 8/5 JoB $.50 1 coin on each hand
(total of 5 coins or $2.50 each dealt hand). I switched machines so
I could play 10 hands at 5 coins each (the $.05 6/5 machine) and risk
the same amount (50 coins or $2.50) on each dealt hand. It was ony
then that I received my first real time RF. It was in one of the 9
extra hands and the 4,000 coins wwere worth $200. Who knows, but I
sure felt it was a result of my holding a strong RF possibility hand
and then getting 9 more cracks at completing the RF! Thanks for any
help
