Multiple downtown (and Sam's Town) questions. Please HELP!

We are flying out to the city we love Feb 16-21. Bringing my mother, who is finally done with cardiac rehab after her heart surgery in September! Staying at MSS for a couple of nights, and 4Q for the final 3. We are avid VP players, DB, DDB, and NSUD, especially progressives! I have several questions regarding a few of the downtown properties and Sam's.

We have offers from Fitz and Sam's for food and free play. Do we need to book rooms at each of those properties to get the free stuff???

Also, when I check my bconnected offers, on the Sam's Feb room offer it says "you're invited to special VIP events! Birthday Party Feb 18-21" Does anyone know what that is??

Binions has a swipe promo going now, does anyone know when that ends?

VPfree2 says that Golden Gate has 9/6 DDB progressives at the Bar, are those RF only or 6 way including quads? Does GG have any promos going?

At the Cal, are the 10/7 DB machines with the 1,000 coin Heart RF bonus $3 per point? How about the quarter machines near the Main Street Bar?

Sam's has 10/7 DB listed, are those $2 per point earned or $1-1?

Thanks for all of your help! I am in uber planning mode right now and your answers will help me line out our trip!

Hello Pat
I think you biggest concern should be your mom's health. All of your questions can be answered by calling up your respective hosts at all these places.
a. MSS has plenty of drafts, so dress extra warm
b. be sure to wipe down all machines with sanitizer wipes. There is a cold and flu mini epidemic in vegas.
c. The rooms at MSS can get very noisy due to wind , trains , and passing cars. make this known to the room clerk with tip in hand.
d. Not sure if your cardiac post op calls for walking, but beware some of the side streets downtown should be avoided. I'd advise walking up and down the Fremont Street experience early in the morning a few times in a circular route.

PS - you'll want to get the American Casino guide and LVA value books. I'll be staying at the 4 queens Feb 19,20th too .
Make sure, at the 4 Queens, you ask for a room, opposite fremont street with as high a floor as possible to avoid rock concert class noise !

best wishes...Tom

Thanks Tom for the room suggestions! I'm not going to call my host about vp inventory, thought that I might get the answers here. We are planning a walk each morning, also great suggestions with the wipes. Nothing worse than getting sick while on vacation! I think a few of my questions about promos will be answered at the beginning of next month like the Binions promo and the Sam's Birthday Party. Thanks again for your help, I'm looking forward to the trip! If you are at 4Q on the 19th and 20th we will either be at the 10/7 progressives or at one of the bars playing the 9/6 progressives!

Pretty sure Cal 10/7 DB with Hearts is $3. Not positive, but pretty sure.

Sam's 10/7 DB is $2 for a point.

And the DDB at Golden Gate are new. I am anxious to know more about those myself, although I may find out before you do if I go to Vegas in next couple weeks. That would be nice that Golden Gate finally has something decent, considering their inventory sucked for so long. Still love the shrimp cocktail.

Oh, here's something different, that may surprise you. I am used to Golden Gate with a piano player, and remember many a Christmas with that piano player. Last time I went in the place, they have scantily clad girls dancing on tables now. I'm serious. I guess that appeals to the young 20-year-old-fools crowd. I dunno, it's different. I think it's tacky, but what do I know. If the VP is ok, I guess I can live with it.
