Multiplay shortcut. was Re: (Fwd) data base updates

There's an easy way around this. When you are playing most of these multiplays, you only have to make the choice of number of coins (or hands) played once. After that, if you just hit "Play" (not "max play"), it will replay whatever you previously chose. I often choose an odd number of hands in fifty/hundred mulitiplays to avoid $1200 payoffs on some dealt quads and this "play" button has always worked on those machines. It usually works on 3/5/10 plays as well.

I decried this rip-off a few weeks
ago on the vpFREE forum. The PEPP machines only awallow 25
coins max, so these are even worse. Of course, it is possible
to avoid playing max coins by repeatedly hitting the "Play 5
Coins" button, but if you are accustomed to hitting the
"Max PLay" button, you WILL make this (sometimes) very costly
error.

Cheers,

Babe

Yeah, but it's hard to lay off that max coin button right after
playing a machine that requires its use with each hand. To protect
myself from making an inadvertent huge bet, I'll pull out a business
card and put it over the button as a reminder until I establish a
routine.

Most of these machines have a blinking "warning" on the screen ("play
30 coins" etc), which is pretty subtle and easy to overlook. I've
added "check max coin bet" to my routine (insert slot card etc.)
whenever I sit down at a new machine.

Another situation that still trips me up from time to time on multi-
games is automatic changing of the game if there is a delay in
starting play. Might take a few hands before you notice the change.
