Yep, to my amazement the $.25 Multi-Strike seems to have many full pay
VP variants. I tried both BPD and DDB last nite on this machine (there
is another $.25 Multi-Strike on the opposite side which is NOT FP,
does Majestic think we can't figure out the difference? :-)). Despite
the fact that DDB has a higher variance I was consistently getting
more qualifiers and good hands overall in DDB as opposed to the more
solid BPD. The only preparation I had was reading Bob Dancer's article
on Multi-Strike that day at lunchtime. I made a conscious decision to
stick with games I know in trying something as radically new as
Multi-Strike even though there might be better FP offerings to choose
from as correctly pointed out by Howard. I found that Dancer's
recommendations on JOB worked equally well for level 1 playing DDB.
The way I saw it was that if I played strict FP DDB strategy I was
sacrificing at most 1%. It all turned out ok in the end as I hit 4
Queens in the 8X level which locked up a nice profit for my intro to
Multi-Strike. I agree with Bob Dancer's comments, this is a very
entertaining and captivating game, one which I will be playing again.
