Multi Strike Poker

When playing optimal play multi strike, what is the probability of
going from line 1 to line 2, line 2 to line 3 and line 3 to line 4?
Does the newest Bob Dancer computer program optimal play agree with the
original article that Bob wrote several years back when multi strike
was just introduced or were any updates necessary. Denny

Denny asked about Multi Strike frequencies and how the new
software works.

It's approximately 50-50 that you'll move up to the next line.
The frequency of FREE RIDES is adjusted to make this so.

The earlier article used the +6, +4, +2 method to determine the
strategy. The strategy created by this method is pretty good and still
works if you don't have the new program and you want to create your own
strategy. VPW uses the actual frequencies of Free Rides as on IGT
machines. With VPW, the strategy is already created for you. In most (or
maybe all) cases, the strategy created in VPW is identical to one that
would be created using the +6, +4, +2 methodology --- assuming you're
capable of creating strategies by yourself.

Bob Dancer: Thanks for the info. I guess I have to play a few
thousand more hands on your VPW software. I'm having a hell of a
time getting off the botom line (1 in 3 maybe) playing J or B which
is why I asked. I started on the easy mode(my mistake) and switched
to the mixed mode where I have played maybe a couple thousand
hands. Denny
