Definitely some hand variations. After brief reading on the game, I believe that since we need to climb up the ladder to higher pay multiplier (2x,4x,8x), then we need to keep/hold paying hands towards the bottom of the ladder (Jacks or Better).
If a payable hand is not dealt, then hold high cards J,Q,K,A as they are easier to pair on the draw and lead you up to the next level of multiplier.
Once we get to 3rd level or higher, then we could afford to "gamble" a little with 3-to-a RF, 4-to-a-Flush, or a draw to a SF..
