Just curious, Harry. How did you do, and did you apply what you
consider to be a healthy part of your trip bankroll towards the game?
I lost money. This was strictly a novelty play. One might argue I'd
been far better to play the online game with better payouts, but I
have to own up to the game not feeling "real" unless there are stakes
involved. The trip had gone very well and I'm not adverse to a little
expensive entertainment from time to time.
I threw $600 at the $1 7/5 BP game at Mandalay Bay and got around
$10-$12K play out of it. I was quite pleased at that since I didn't
see any quads at all during that hour of play. Obviously, only one
bonus quad on a higher line would have easily reversed that loss.
I managed to toss $400 at the $.25 9/5 JB game at MGM for a little
over half an hour's play, and frankly wished I'd quit at $200. The
second $200 was popped in solely in hopes of seeing the elusive quad
that never showed in either trial run and produced neither enjoyment
or satisfaction.
Even the $.25 game is not for the faint at heart and shouldn't be
approached at full coin by any less than a stalwart $1 player.
