And if the last person playing the machine did not play it fully loaded (all 100 coins), then the paytable will show a royal of 1250 instead of 4000. On the paytable screen you should be able to select 4 lines and 5 play and see that the fully loaded paytable still has a royal of 4000.
So these machines were probably not downgraded.

Subject: [vpFREE_Reno] Multi-Strike at the PeppermillThere are two MS machines at the Peppermill. One is listed
in the database as JOB, the other as NSUD. One is located
just outside one of the entrances to the Fish Bar, against
the wall. The other is midway between the Island Buffet and
the cashiers cage, not far from the Cube Bar.BEWARE if you play either of them.
As I recall, here are things I noticed this visit that I
hadn't seen before.JoB on both of them looks like a standard 9/6 pay table -
except that the Royal payout has been slashed from 4000
coins to 1200.Deuces:
Island Buffet-cage machine - standard NSUD table.
Fish Bar machine - paytable was not as good as NSUD before
and now it has been slashed to 1200 for the royal on top of
that.Expected returns with reductions in RF from 4000 to 1200:
for JOB from 99.54% to 98.37%
for NSUD from 99.73% to 98.48%I used to always check both 1-coin and 5-coin payouts
before starting to play any machine. Lately I've gotten lazy
in checking 5-coin paytables, especially on machines I've
played in the past, and since I've never hit a royal on
either of those machines on either game, I don't know how
long the machines have been that way - but it appears that
it's time for renewed caution. If these changes are confirmed, the database may need to be
updated.Bob in San Antonio
