I don't believe that it was any specific team or group that caused the demise of the FP deuces at MSS. I play at MSS a fair bit, and I have observed that those machines are almost always occupied by players that appear to be playing the game at an above average skill level.
If you have a lot of people playing those machines at a proficient level, the casino will not make money on them.
Say bye bye machines. It is that simple.

I never play at MSS, but used to play at the Plaza, several times a
year. While at the PLaza, I always played at least a couple of
hours on the FPDW machines that were past the Keno Lounge, on the
back side of the Bank of Bonus Deuces. Originally, the entire bank
was all FP. Gradually, they interspersed them with other pay
schedules. Now that bank is gone altogether. In the many times that
I sat there, usually mid-day, I NEVER ONCE saw anyone playing them,
that had a CLUE as to proper strategy. They made every novice
mistake in the books (i.e. holding 2 pair, not holding inside
straights, routinely holding suited DAK, etc.) Believe me, the Plaza
had nothing to fear from these players, yet the machines are gone.
I truly believe that this is the direct result of all the casino
bosses reading/listening etc. to magazine articles, newspaper
columns, and yes, vpFREE posts ruminating on FPDW cash cows, and how
to exploit them.
If you can still find a FPDW machine, go get the Deuces!
