MSS & 2x points

When I play at MSS I always get free rooms and double points. The last time there
one of the desk people asked if I was getting 4x points and then quickly said "oh,
no you are getting 2x points. Is anyone getting 4x and if so on what basis? Maybe
I should negotiate this with a hostess? Ray

Just received a MSS June offer for 4 free nights, plus 6x points, good any day of the week. I
am a long time silver card customer. Haven't been to Main Street Station since February,
2004. Maybe they are trying to get me back.

The only time I get better than 1x points is when I stay there on a
mailed offer that specifies a point multiplier. The multiplier varies
from offer to offer. Most are for 2x, although I've gotten ones for 3x,
4x and even 6x. The most recent offer, good for 4 comped nights anytime
during the month of June is for 6x points. I think the last time they
sent me one of those was a year ago for the same month.

I doubt this is negotiable as the mailer comes from markeeting, no tht e host.

I have never gotten better than 2X points, but have seen posts where others indicate as high as 6X points. The bigger the fish, the better the offer, maybe?

I get 2x as well, but I have read reports of others getting more. I suspect
that these offers are tiered.

My offers are always for 2x points and usually four nights --
sometimes Sunday through
Thursday, sometimes ANY four nights. Most recent letter offers 2x
points and any FIVE
nights, Sunday through Thursday.

Sometimes the offers coincide with some event they're having, like a
slot or blackjack
tournament.

I got one a few weeks ago for 5x points and 4 nights anytime for May,
unfortunately they were sold out the weekend we are goign to be
there. I also just got one for 6x and 4 nights in June. Its a pretty
great deal, .6% CB plus scratch cards.
