MSC gave us a free cruise on their new ship out of Miami, they gave us a deluxe suite in their Yacht Club (much nicer than NCL’s Haven). One thing to note, their FREE really means free, no port charge, taxes and booking fee like NCL charges for their “free” cruises.
It was a beautiful ship, fantastic private restaurant and we will definitely be coming back to them. They also match your level at any other cruise line. So because we are Platinum Plus on NCL and also the top level with Princess, we were also immediately made their top level Black Card.
Being an Italian cruise line, the casino is different, NO W2G’s, free cruise granted for 10,000 points ($2, $3, $5 slots and $10VP per point), better cabins for every 5,000 points. Almost no $1 machines, almost all penny, only 6 single line VP machines. No service charge for charging your gambling money to your room. It was a VIP casino cruise so they had lots of drawings giving free play and other stuff, two cocktail parties, no tiny slot tournaments like NCL.
