MS Web Site

A few days ago I went to the My MS web page to check hotel rates . There was the usual display of free nights intermixed with some paying ones. Yesterday when I went to the site it was shut down for "routine maintenance". Today when I went to the MY MS page all dates through the end of May had very high rates, as if they were rack rates. Anyone experience the same or have an idea about what's going on ?

Had the same website unavailability yesterday. Just checked what my offers look
like - free Sunday-Thursday as always (Sagamore), and from $349-$599 on every
Friday and Saturday night. You're right about the rates. Friday/Saturday
sometimes got up pretty high, but a lot of them were $99-$199.

Could just be the nicer weather, or it just could be an indication of the Sun
showing us just a little bit more love. There were also a couple of sold-out
days midweek, which did not seem to coincide with any great entertainment shows
on those dates.

Wonder what else they can do to encourage us to go out there, after raising the
coin-in per point, lowering the theo, now raising the room rates. Maybe sprinkle
around some broken glass at the entrances to the garages?

A few days ago I had a number of free days Sun.-Thurs. now I have none.Thats what puzzled me.

Wonder what else they can do to encourage us to go out there, after raising the
coin-in per point,

Are you talking about a recent raise or the one awhile ago to $150 Jacks/BP or $270 PE = 1 pt. ?

The comment about the broken glass made me chuckle out loud.

And don't forget about us non-smokers being "smoked" like a Sunday ham.

Looks like the handwriting on the wall. VP players are not their favorites.

Well - some of what we are seeing with crazy high room prices can be explained this way. Poker players get very few room comps if any. They have been found to be ready willing and able to pay almost anything to compete in tournaments and high limit games. For example, this weekend, tons of poker players will be paying $1000 for the the 2 nights at MS. If your an advantage player (i.e exclusive fp jacks or pickem ) , whom the rake is $300 -$500 Expected loss - they can give you those rooms discounted for $500 and still make money, but comped ? why bother, they can make more off the sap poker player. just my 2 cents....Tom

My puzzlement was how could multiple comp days over the next ten weeks be gone in a matter of 48 hrs. ? I just went back to MYMS and guess what? Its down once again for maintenance. Maybe there was a mistake made and when I signed in all I was getting was regular rack rates by mistake.
BTW I was going to start heavier play at the Sun in about two weeks. Even thought about going up to Sag. But if they don't offer me room comps I'm gone. I'll wait and see.
