MS trip report

Left Friday at noontime from Boston. Followed 95 South and no
problems on interstates. Took Route 7 past Foxwoods - road not salted
well - but no traffic. Saw huge MGM Grand hotel at Fox. Wow!

Arrived mid afternoon at MS. Almost no one. Slant top Pickem's area
had just opened. I told my Sachem wife but she wanted to stay at
uprights.
She collected 250 points and I collected 75 points from mail offer.
Saw Boogie Wonder Band at Wolf Den. The place was empty. Show was
great. Sachem wife had $200 Gift from Host for Birthday Dinner. We
went to Summer Shack with two friends. Thanks MS. Host gave her a
Suite on Friday night. My first stay at MS suite. Reminded me of the
Zigarets at NYNY (sigh).
Saturday wife collected $250 for attending the $40K SUV drawing.
Winner was very happy and she had to decide whether to take $40K cash
or the $60K Navigator.

We broke even and generated 600 points from action plus the
entertainment, and freebies. Lot of fun.

I didn't have my heart into playing Pickem with the point changes.
Wife's going to Vegas/Laughlin on Tuesday for 4 days to collect >$1K
and gamble at FP 10/7 DB with Progressive, cashback, freeplay,
Suites, no pressure to maintain hugh theo action. Then the week after
we both go to Reno, Thank you Harrah's! There is FP Super DB
Mulstrike in RENO. There are plenty of other fair bets. Collecting
$400 as well.

You had a little better trip then we had.

Our boys were away on a ski trip with boy scouts, so we decided to go
to the Sun after the uconn game on Saturday. Arrived about 3:30 and
should have known it would be crowded when all but the top 2 floors
in the parking garage were full.

We proceeded into a packed casino and headed to the home show. My
wife is not much of a gambler and I need to make some concessions. I
usually play on Fridays afternoons by my self so she doesnt get
bored. Swiped my card for 75 points on the way. After 45 minutes of
walking by doors, windows, decks and sunrooms we needed to get out.

Ok, time to find some 9/6 $1 vp. Walked by the Sunburst bar, no
deal. Tried the lodge, sportsbar, nonsmoking and moon bar. No
chance to get near a seat. Next stop the Wolf Den bar. No seats but
I positioned myself so if a spot opened on almost half of the bar I
should get it. After about a half hour, a gentlemen, and I use the
term loosly, who was watching his girlfriend play sat down at a
machine that opened up next to her. 5 Minutes later, when he had
still not played, I asked if he was going to play. He was quite
drunk and replied that he just hadnt gotten around to it yet. He put
in a $10 and I counted 4 times over the next 20 minutes that he
played 1 cent.

My wife was bored and it was time to move on. Another trip by the
Lodge and then to the sports bar where luck had it a spot opened up.
The seat next to us had the chair up, but thats not uncommon if one
needs to use the restroom. We played for a couple hours on my wife's
card. In that time the woman next to us came back in 5 minute spurts
and then would leave for 20 to 25 increments. Pretty rude when it is
that crowded.

Time for dinner, all the restraunts were full. Last chance, Irish
pub. Overall, a fustrating evening. But the company was good.

Left Friday at noontime from Boston. Followed 95 South and no
problems on interstates. Took Route 7 past Foxwoods - road not

salted
