Happy new year!
Arrived Tuesday 12/30 around 4:00 p.m and left Thursday 1/1/04 at noon.
Midler's new show is exceptional. Started around 10 on New Year's eve
and ended about a half hour after midnight. Thousands of ballons and
confetti strips dropped into arena at midnight. Show comped through
marketing department mailing. Our experience with host's at MS is
unsatisfactory. They don't return calls or emails. They are "very busy."
Should we just give up on them? On the bright side the hosts at
Foxwoods are excellent.
Gambling:
$75k through the machines based on 800+ points received. 95% 1$ pickem
in the new room with some JB and "piggy" slot machines. Got a SF and 6
pickem quads. Lost $400. Everything seems on the up and up. Lots of
people playing these new gamemakers this time. Four out of five
playing pickem.
Observed one person playing two machines at the same time. She sat at
one and played the machine on either side (taking up three machines).
Observed two people holding 8"x11" strategy cards. I wanted to tell
them such behaviours may attract attention. But I had a gut feeling
these were "no good deed goes unpunished" situations.
