MS Report

I got an email a few days ago from MS, they're running a 100 dollar free play offer.

" Free Slot Play Bonus

We're guaranteeing you at least $100 in Mystery Free Slot Play Bonus!

Simply insert your Player's Club card into any slot machine from 8:00am on April 13, 2010 through April 16, 2010 and again from 8:00am on April 27, 2010 through April 30, 2010. "

Not exactly sure on the details of this offer but I was there last Tues, because I don't have work til late on Wed. I called and spoke to a host and was told I would receive 100 in free play just by using my player's club card at any slot or vp machine, but it expired in the early morning on the 17th.

I started off slow, playing .25 bonus poker which is your best bet at the 25 cent level at MS. Doubled my first 50 used in free play and then headed to the $1 Pick'em. I know pick'em is the best VP available at MS, but I find it to be such a slow and boring game haha. I much prefer to play jacks or better which there are still plenty FP at the $ 1 level. I read on this forum that someone went on a Thurs night and couldn't find any Pick'ems open. Well at 10 on a Friday night there were plenty open, one of which was happy to take my remaining 50 in free play :(.

So I headed to my favorite bar at the casino of the Wind which has FP jacks or better. I discovered in the back of the bar the machines allow you to double or nothing your bet on FP jacks or better, which I had never seen at MS before at the FP level. Hit a straight flush there for 250 and then was happy to find that the 5 hand FP jacks or better machine outside the High Limit Slots area was available.

This was my first time playing multi hand jacks or better, and it is a dangerous game haha. After surrendering some of my winnings there I worked my way around some other 9/6 jacks or better and ended the night up 250 plus another 100 in points on my card, which puts me half way to Wolf.

I'll certainly be heading back for another 100 in free play!

then was happy to find that the 5 hand FP jacks or better machine outside the High Limit Slots area was available.

Are you sure these were 9/6 JOB? Which of the 2 Hi-Limit rooms are they outside?

Thanks,
Doug,
Boston

It's located in the Casino of the Earth right across from the High Limit Slot area. With your back to the High Limit Slot Area it's like the second or third machine from the right, a blue five card multi strike machine. I confirmed that it is listed on VPfree2. Plus you can always tell a good machine when there's a little sticker reminding you that you get less player points for your bets (1 pt per 180 wagered in this case).

What is not listed on VPfree2 is that on some of the machines at the Casino of the Wind Bar allow you to double or nothing on 9/6 jacks or better. One of only two casino bets with no house edge! I thought my double or nothing days were done at MS once I learned to look for the full pay tables. I used a machine towards the back of the bar but it was too crowded for me to find out exactly which ones allow it. The casino of the Wind bar is great, it never seems to be overly crowded, the machines have full pay JoB(half of them 20 coin max bet), and now I learn I can play double or nothing! Plus I've always had good luck with those machines

That's the multi-strike machine, a healthy $100 a hit for 5 $1 hands. Even turned up as fast as it can go, it's slow as molasses... so you earn points faster at the higher game-EV, lower var. $10 PKM, with $270/pnt

Anyone know how points / coin in is figured for the double? Does the wager count towards coin in?

Almost positive that double up does not count toward points or theo so I think there is no advantage to doing it. JOB it self is 99.54 so in my mind, in the long run it is not a winning proposition
