I hope this doesn't turn out to be bad news in the making, but
yesterday the full pay 25c pickem machines were out of service in
the non smoking slot room at Mohegan. I asked an attendant and all
he knew was the techs were working on them. He did point out that
the short pay machines were also down. So, all the pickem in the
non smoking casino was down. Hopefully, someone will report soon
that they are back and the full pay ones unchanged.
The other interesting observation yesterday was at the high roller
section of the new casino, where I saw a guy who had just hit a
royal on a $10 pickem. (That's $60k) I joked to him, "hey that
must have made your day, huh?". And he replied very coldly "yeah,
its alright" in a bored tone... lol
I want to watch someone play this game next time. I can't imagine
loading in a $100 bill every 2 hands while losing, not to mention, I
would think the bill readers would fill up very quickly. Even in a
break-even session (say hitting a 4 of a kind), you get hand pays
for the big hands, yet have to keep pumping in the bills.
