nbi, more congrats.
I find I cannot win anything in Don and Mike's. Nothing. Zip. Zilch.
Zero.
I go downstairs and have great randomness, i.e, royals last 3 out of
4 trips.
And a $ royal I missed by making the right play (dealt As,Ah,Jh,xx;
kept
AsAh, ended up with AsAhKhQhTh,ouch, but i'd have to throw the J
next time, as
well).
So not only is Don and Mike's a stretch for me to play, I cannot
seem to
catch a break up there.
Certain games seem to be suspiciously rough and not just for me.
Deuces are very sparse in any of the deuces games be it DBDW on the
progressive, $.05 100 play NSUD, or even NSUD Multi-Strike. When I got
shellacked by DBDW I had several $100 sessions where I was dealt no
more than a single deuce at most 3 times. Although OEJ is the best
game return wise I do not have the bankroll to weather the 7x royals
dry spells.
Therefore I have no jacket in spite of royals ( and yes I will
collect the
suede one) but I do have a lovely collection of Majestic Stars stuffed
bears........
One last comment to nbi: I am quite amused at your stooping to JoB
after you
blasted us all for playing JoB on those machines when the much
higher EV games
like OEJ and DWDB were available on the same machines. :).
Well, I didn't really "blast" anyone. I was just expressing my
surprise that nobody seemed even remotely interested in trying these
games which represented a significant positive play. Or so I thought.
As it turns out game variance does not factor into the MS BB
calculations. That in conjunction with the lengthy dry spells make
these games iffy at jackpot values close to reset. Yes, I am stooping
to the pedestrian JOB.
Since there is no BB benefit to playing the
best returning bartop games one might as well play a low variance game
like JOB. As I previously mentioned the return difference between JOB
and the others isn't all that great and its simple strategy allows for
a high rate of play (I can easily bang out 1000+ hands per hour). I'm
just following the Bob Dancer advice of adapting to the best
opportunity given the size of my bankroll.
Since, as I
previously stated, I can't win upstairs, I experienced the need for
lower variance
long before you were forced to JoB!
I have not seen anything fishy with JOB upstairs. I certainly don't
win at it all the time, but hand frequencies are well within
expectation. I would give the $.25 progressive JOB another try, just
be sure to bring the strategy sheet if you don't have it down cold.
The only other machine that offers a JOB return above full pay is
Super Times Pay, but I'm now convinced this game is not legit so I
will no longer play it nor recommend it. Other than that there are no
other games that boost the JOB payback above 99.54.
