MS Progressive

Thanks for posting, but please double check for accuracy.

These numbers are lower than those posted by Howard for 3pm
(5010,1616). Somebody seems to have made a boo-boo in reporting as I
doubt both jackpots were hit between 3 and 7 and then rose to these
levels. Howard, did you mean 8pm rather than 3pm? That would make
sense given these numbers.

11/27, 7pm:

$1 => $5000
$.25 => $1555

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Howard's numbers are correct. I knew my numbers were not exact, but
technically not wrong, hence the =>. I did not want to risk
overstating the progressives and went from memory after a 2 hour
drive home. My $1 prog is understated by $10 (maybe $15 as it was 4
hours later). Would that $15 have made a difference to you? The 25c
progressive is understated by less than $100. I will try to be more
accurate in the future...

Please don't think I'm picking on you, I appreciate the effort. I'm
just suggesting that if you see a post corresponding to 4 hours
earlier *and* your numbers are lower but not close to reset then you
don't need to agonize over the approximation, just skip posting. BTW,
I did not interpret '=>' to mean approximately, I don't think too many
others did either. Often the tilde ( '~' ) is used to indicate
approximation. :slight_smile:

I think "=>" was meant to signify "greater than or equal to" not
approximation

"greater than or equal to"? How about if I always post something like:
$1 progressive => $4000
$.25 progressive => $1000
That would always be true, but not very helpful. I'd much rather see a
post that shows an approximate number which is very close, say +/- $20
on the $1 and +/- $5 on the $.25. I'm trying to make it as easy as
possible for folks to report meaningful numbers without recording the
precise time and numbers. If someone does report the exact numbers for
a given time that's terrific, but in absence of that lets try to
present info that's reasonably close. And as I pointed out previously
if your numbers are lower (but not close to reset) for a time later
than the previous update then you can just skip posting.

Clearly the above is not very helpful, but saying

approx. $4800 vs. greater than equal $4800 conveys "approx." the same
information.

BTW, I was surpised to see the .25 progressive get as high as the
previous post, my sense was that when the progressive of several
games are tied to one progressive it rarely rose above $1100. The $
progressive at Joliet often goes positive because a lot of people
play DDB with 2 coins going for the $800 aces with kicker hit,
avoiding the w-2.
