I was there as well. My wife got the same free play offer and she plays maybe $200 coin in a year there. As a Sagamore I got the same offer as her. So I figured the place would be crowded. In fact they blocked off the entire Sagamore/Sachem parking garage and security only allowed Sags or Sachems through intop the garage.
Anyway, the main purpose of the post is that the first freeplay required $10 of CI before 1:00 PM and you got $20 of FP. That worked out fine though I couldn't get on the $1.00 FP PE VP machines. So after hustling around the Earth Casino, we finally found an open 25c and 50c FP BP VP machine in the Hall of Lost Tribes.
My wife won about $20. I won $10.
We then went shopping for a couple of hours as I had allowed her $400 of my comp points for part of her B'day gift. After going into just about every store, she finally got a wallet at Coach and pair of shoes and scarf at Sun Shoes.
We then had an early supper at Margaritaville. I had been sent a $40 free food coupon. We weren't crazy about teh food there (first time and probably last). I had the Mahi Mahi -- pretty tasteless and left pretty hungry.
By the time we finished it was about 5:00 PM and we wanted to get our second set of freeplay that began at 4:00 PM.
We each ran $10 through a couple of 25c BP VP machines in the Sky casino. But no free play became available at the machines. We asked the lady sitting next to us and she said that she was told that there was a computer crash and that nobody was getting their FP. They were told they were working on it to try to get it fixed ASAP.
I decided to go to the Lounge in the Sky casino and have some dessert before we left and to also discuss the non-forthcoming freeplay with a host there. She took our player's card numbers and said that if we had to leave before they fixed it, she/MS would likely do something to compensate us for the loss of the $40 of FP.
We left about 5:30 PM. I thought I might get an email today about it from MS. If I don't hear anything by tonight I'll call and find what they intend to do about it. I would imagine they had a number of pissed off people as each of the Player's Club booths had long lines of people at about 5:00 to 5:30 PM.
Anyone now if the post-4:00 PM freeplay ever came through on the machines or what MSs plan is to compensate people for the screw up?

Went to MS Sunday. The largest crowd I ever saw on the gaming floor was present. There was an offer by email which was presumably open to everyone than if you play $10 you would get $20 free play which offer applied for two time periods during the day. The lines at the players clubs booths were 20 deep and 5 deep at the ticket redemption kiosks.
Arrived 1 hr. before first period over and every decent VP machine taken. I was forced to play $1 slots or not get the $20 free plays. Luck enough to hit, but slot jackpot not as satisfying as RF plus no way to turn off "music", so many "new friends" came to congratulate me, check on the amount, etc.
So much fun for a curmudgeon like me, that I went to Foxwoods between sessions to get away from the crowds and prevent points there from expiring.
