As far as I can remember (which seems to get shorter & shorter as I get older & older) I've been getting a birthday meal comp since I became a Sagamore. I think he usually sends a card, and writes that he would be glad to buy me a dinner next time I come in & to call him. If you got that last year. and didn't this time, and your play level is the same, I think I'd call and inquire.
I've found it doesn't hurt to ask, as it could just be an oversight, or an error on the part of an assistant, and not something deliberate. It is possible things have changed, and they are not doing that any longer, or for some reason, you no longer qualify. But if you don't ask, they won't tell (pun intended), and you might just be missing out on something you should be getting. The worst that can happen is you don't get it, but at least your doubt is resolved.

Last year I received a dinner comp from my host for my birthday. This year he is offering nothing. I am wondering if the comp was a one time thing, or are people getting this annually? My play has not changed in the past year.
