MS Double point days

A Mohegan rep informed me that on double point days, the doubling of points only applies to your balance, and not your "tier balance" for purposes of qualifying for Wolf and Sagamore. I am VERY sure it did not work that way in the past. Can anyone confirm this?

My host told me (in the past) that double points DID qualify for tier scores, but I don't know if that has changed.

When do you have double point day?
(I am Sachem, and the day is the 14th, supposedly exclusively for Sachem). I wasn't planning on going, but if I speak to my host, I'll pose the question and report,

My double point day was last month, I don't have one this month, but wanted to know for the future if it was applicable to tier points.
